*IBM modifies its AS/400 E-Business Made Easy Rebate Offering, originally announced April
29. Under the plan, customers can receive a rebate for urchasing an eligible AS/400e Model
170 Internet or intranet hardware/software configuration. The modification adds Model 170
(#2290) and (#2292) configurations as eligible options, adds V4R3 as a supported OS/400
version, and adds the Cryptographic Access Provider for V4R3 product as an alternate
prerequisite.

*IBM releases its AFP Font Collection V2 for OS/400, AIX, and OS/2. The collection is a
set of fonts and utilities for AFP printers. V2 supports the euro and printing in Thai and
Lao, enhances Chinese and Korean printing support, and adds code page support for
Cyrillic, Hebrew, and other languages.

program. ClientBuilder lets developers deploy legacy AS/400 and mainframe applications

*IBM releases MQSeries Link for R/3 V1.2, an SAP-certified version of the MQSeries product
for AS/400s, RS/6000s, NT servers, and other platforms that is customized for SAP's R/3
application suite. V1.2 runs under OS/400 V4R2 or higher, supports R/3 4.0, and is
available for AS/400s beginning December 31.
