Kakefuda-san - thank you for your request for permission to translate parts
of the IBM Redbook 'Who Knew You Could Do That with RPG IV? A Sorcerer's Guide to System
Access and More , SG24-5402-00'. into Japanese for distribution on your personal site.
Unfortunately, I cannot grant this request because we do not permit partial
translation and distribution of IBM copyright intellectual property.
However, I am in discussion with IBM Japan regarding broader translation
and distribution needs for IBM Redbooks and I expect that arrangements that
will benefit the Japanese professional IT community will result.
Again thank you for your interest in making this important book more
accessible in Japan and for your commitment to your professional peers.
IBM RedBook'Who Knew You Could Do That with RPG IV? A Sorcerer's Guide to SystemAccess and More , SG24-5402-00'.

My name is Tadashi Kakefuda, a Japanese programmer of the AS/400. In Japan,we still use OPM (RPG400) mostly, so I want to illuminate ourselves by
introducing a red book 'Who Knew You Could Do That with RPG IV? A Sorcerer's Guide to System Access and More , SG24-5402-00'.I mean that I want to translate it into Japanese.I can't afford to translate all of the contents, so partially I will do.
And I don't mean that I sell it nor I use it for any profit purpose. Just I
put it on my non-profit site for other programmers. Now I plan to translate chapter2, chapter3, and chapter 4.
I guess there is a copyright problem. Can I do that? I'm sorry to trouble you, I know this kind of problem is difficult to solve. Would you give me
an advice?
T.I.A.
Best regards.
